Verify a workspace domain

Connect a domain to support workspace identity and email-based access controls.

Use Domains settings when your workspace needs verified domains and DNS configuration. Make the change with someone who can update the domain’s DNS records.

How to

  1. Open Domains settings

    Open Settings, then choose Domains.

  2. Add the domain you want to verify

    Enter the domain exactly as it is used for your organization. Copy the verification record Robert provides.

  3. Publish the DNS record and confirm

    Add the record in your DNS provider, then return to Robert to check the verification status. DNS changes can take time to appear.

Use verified-domain controls after verification

Once a domain is verified, you can choose whether to restrict workspace access to verified domains or allow people with a verified-domain email address to join automatically. Turn either policy on only after the workspace has agreed on the access rule.

Coordinate with the domain owner. Do not guess at DNS values. Copy the verification record exactly and wait for Robert to confirm the result.
